Kaylah uses a combination of short and long-term interventions with her clients. She draws upon a number of therapeutic approaches, which have a strong evidence-base validating their effectiveness.

Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

Kaylah uses CBT to help you understand the connection between your thoughts, feelings and behaviours, including their contribution to your current mental health difficulties. Through this process, we identify unhelpful patterns, and subsequently use a range of strategies to help modify them. The focus of CBT sessions are guided by each client's unique treatment goals.

Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)

Kaylah uses IPT to treat mental health difficulties that have emerged from life events/changes that have occurred within an individual's interpersonal environment. The focus of IPT sessions centre around reducing the intensity of mental health symptoms, improving interpersonal functioning and strengthening the use of social support.

Schema Therapy

Kaylah draws upon Schema Therapy to help client's understand the developmental origins of their current difficulties.

The focus of sessions using Schema Therapy involve modifying engrained themes and coping styles through use of a combination of cognitive, experiential and behavioural techniques. The overall aim is to help individuals meet their core emotional needs.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Kaylah draws upon the core philosophy of ACT, which involves developing a willingness to accept what is beyond our control, and committing to intentional action that can bring a contentment to life. This often involves changing an individual's way of relating to difficult thoughts and feelings, as well as clarifying core values.

Kaylah offers in-person sessions in Camberwell, as well as Telehealth sessions to provide flexibility to her clients.
